The Latin American Association for Insurance Agencies (LAAIA) hosts a convention every year at the The Diplomat Resort in Hollywood. I was contracted for the design of their large-scale entryway which displays much of the event information such as: list of vendors, list of past presidents, promotion for the next year’s event.

The client asked that the design be simple, clean but eye-catching. As such, I designed a simple entryway that incorporated the colors of the 2018 event logo, which was not designed by me. The logo had blue and green, and I utilized those and different hues of those colors to create what wound up being a beautiful entryway.

The entryway sets the stage for the whole event; so if this sucked, people would walk through it imagining that all other branded collaterals and vendor booths would display sub-par designs. With a strikingly clean, legible and appealing structure such as this one, there was great feedback from both attendees and the organizers of the event.
